In Romania, the company owns a branch in Cluj that supports the company’s global projects. With the growing demand for green electricity and climate change, the company is hiring new colleagues.

Descrierea Jobului

We are looking to recruit a Site Manager (Construction Manager in the Solar Energy Sector) (ideally from Cluj, but can be located anywhere in Romania).

The main objective it to coordinate activity at the construction site, for solar energy parks/projects.

Below are some of the most important responsibilities:

  • Work to a planned schedule running sites to meet deadlines

  • Participate and hold internal and external Project meetings, reviews, briefs and kick off meetings

  • Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, health and safety management and inspections of all works

  • Point of contact on site for deliveries and client liaison

  • Authorised person for all quality standards on site

  • Document work undertaken / daily activities and provide a daily activity report

  • Recognise issues and assess risks and review any findings with management

  • Prepare project snagging list

  • Assist Project Managers where required to support workload and provide site presence from the company side

  • Inspect work for satisfactory performance

  • Review suitable stocks of supplies and equipment and request specialist components, fixtures or fittings as required

  • Advise Project Manager on required stock levels

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policy and communicate effectively to site teams

  • Recommend improvements and modifications

  • Investigate complaints and recommend corrective action as necessary to resolve complaints

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders including the public

  • Identify and meet personal job-related training and development as required

  • Write reports for Client and MMD team

  • Liaise with contractors and client

  • Manage the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor on site

  • Carry out daily monitoring of at least the following: (1) Contractor and site health & safety compliance monitoring, (2) Balance of Plant works progress, (3) Balance of Plant contract compliance, (4) Environmental management monitoring, (5) Maintain daily site diary, (6) Establish & maintain daily progress photograph database

Candidatul Ideal

  • Educație și Experiență

    • 3+ years of experience as a construction manager in the solar sector
    • Experienced site manager with either electrical/roofing/civils background
    • H&S Qualifications
    • SMSTS/SSSTS

  • Alte competențe

    • Strong leader that can manage multiple trades on site
    • Understand site drawings and SLDs
    • Good IT skills and documentation control
    • Ability to organise and direct staff, contractors
    • Upper-Intermediate English
    • Driving License
    • Strong leadership skills

  • Personalitate

    • Able to work under pressure and deal with reactive situations
    • Hardworking, reliable and flexible with the flexibility to work abroad
    • Must be able to work well as part of a team
    • Strong communication skills and ability to form strong working relationships
    • Possess good attention to detail and quality management
    • Proactive attitude and take pride in work
