Job Description

We are looking for a Collections Team Leader, located in Bucharest. The ideal candidate is pro-active, open to new opportunities and positive thinking, having previous similar experience with dialing apps and/ or collection managing systems.

Main responsibility of the job is to control the performance of an in-house collections team while coordinating with several DCAs servicing our overdue portfolio, monitor and motivate the team based on a good understanding of KPIs.

  • Develop, lead and motivate a team of collection officers with the aim of delivering high efficiency and performance

  • Ensure best practice sharing with the centralized collection team

  • Display deep understanding of collections processes, legislation & regulations, market trends and industry best practices

  • Monitor team´s and system´s performance ensuring high quality and company protocols are in place

  • Preparing, analyzing and delivering reporting and actions/ recommendations on risk, performance, challenges to internal and external stakeholders

  • From time-to-time and as per need perform the tasks of Collection Officer (calls, emails, chats) to continuously improve the performance of the team

  • Support the Line Manager with know-how and insights of the specific collection market

Ideal Candidate

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Economics/Financial or a related fiel
    • 3+ years of work experience in leading teams and driving performance in collections, operations, contact centers or related industry
    • Previous similar experience with dialing apps and/ or collection managing systems
    • Working experience in an international environment
  • Other requirements

    • Good negotiation skills and fluent in English
    • Proven ability to work effectively with individual contributors, management and cross departments
  • Personality

    • Highly organized with great attention to detail
    • Honesty & Integrity above all and a deep respect about the law
