Job Description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Air & See division.

Main mission: To meet sales & growth targets.

Sales Planning

  • Create and execute division’ growth sales plan that leverages market potential, in alignment with company business development plan

  • Ensure all accounts have a clear ownership for retention and growth

  • Prospect and target new, high potential accounts

  • Ensure targets for individual salespersons are set in accordance to company targets

  • Ensure individual targets for himself are set and approved by the Sales Director in accordance to company targets

  • Provide content and insights for the marketing plan

Sales Review

  • Attend monthly review meetings with the Sales Director

  • Hold monthly review meetings with his/her sales team

  • Review pipeline, activities and performance using global standard reports

  • Review achievements and react to low performance (if the case)

  • Review up-trading, down-trading, loss-making and newly gained accounts monthly and take corrective actions

  • Manage Air & Sea sales incentive plan (SIP) in alignment with global standards and local incentive plans

Business Development

  • Ensure customer engagement meetings with his/her team, with focus on global accounts and country key accounts

  • Meet Division KPI’s and sales objectives agreed on daily business activity

  • Personally, engage key customers to drive growth and assume ownership for a limited portfolio of accounts

  • Ensure sales opportunities follow the Tender Management process, including timely pre-RFQ strategy

  • Ensure BU’s implement ad-hoc and regular quotation process (CRM), measure hit ratios regularly, review and implement improvement actions jointly

  • Ensure CRM pipeline supports Budget product targets in terms of quantity and quality (alignment with Industry Vertical and Trade Lane objectives)

Ideal Candidate

  • Studii și Experiență

    • Degree in marketing, technical, engineering, transport or logistics preferred
    • 3-5 years in a sales role (preferably in logistics or supply chain)
    • Minimum of 5 years of working experience preferred
  • Customer Orientation

    • Focuses on the customer’s expectations and strategy and adapts approach accordingly
    • Follows and acts on market trends and industry developments

    Language skills

    • Fluency in English mandatory (written and spoken)
    • Other languages (written and spoken) are a plus

    Computer Literacy

    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Good knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
    • Knowledge of SAP or similar systems, for reporting and analysis – is a plus
  • Personal skills/Personality

    • Ability and willingness to effectively live and manage the matrix organization
    • Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
    • Proactive, hands-on person who has the ability to work in a dynamic environment
    • Team person, positive attitude, open to ideas
    • Autonomy and initiative together with the discipline to act unsupervised to achieve results
    • Skills in planning, organization, punctuality, creativity, analytical intelligence
